Meaning

Absolute Score

The complete score, without projections, the Participant has earned thus far in the competition. Commonly known simply as a Participant's "Score."

Accumulative Final

Is the style of final where the top eight athletes after qualification compete in the final, with the winner of the match determined by summing their qualification score with their final score.

Asynchronous Competition

An asynchronous competition is one where the Participants are shooting either at different times (e.g. on different relays) or at different speeds (e.g. block time to shoot a series of shots. Almost all qualification rounds of competitions are shot asynchronously. Finals are almost always shot synchronously.

Athlete

An individual competing in a competition. Means the same as a competitor or marksman.

Athlete Monitor

In an EST system, the Athlete Monitor displays the scored shots and scores to the marksman (or marksmen) firing on that firing point.

The Athena DoW100 is an example of an Athlete Monitor.
